Our
difference
Efficient and Professional
At our agency, being owned and managed by BCBA professionals sets us apart. We pride ourselves on operating efficiently and ensuring that our therapists are compensated fairly. Consequently, our therapists choose to prioritize working with us over other agencies. Bid farewell to long waitlists as we strive to provide exceptional service without unnecessary delays.
Our Approach
At Alliance, we hold the belief that a child's optimal learning occurs in an environment that is happy, relaxed, and engaging. Our organization offers personalized learning programs tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse individuals, such as those with giftedness, dyslexia, ADHD, selective mutism, and autism. Additionally, we extend our services to families of neurotypical individuals who may face behavioural challenges, such as young children with sleeping difficulties.

We are pleased to inform that families with funding from the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) can utilize their funds towards our services. We remain committed to providing a high level of professional care and support to all of our clients. We offer home-based interventions and centre-based interventions at our locations in North York and in Markham.

Cultural Competence and Language
Culture plays a critical role in how individuals develop and function in society. Different cultures offer unique contingency environments that shape and influence individuals’ behaviour (Glenn, 2004; Skinner, 1971). In particular, culture influences the perceptions and behaviours of clinicians and our clients, including their expectations regarding appropriate behaviour in social situations. Aside from English, some of our therapists and supervisors can communicate in Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, Turkish upon request.
About Us

Eileen Lau, MSc., R.B.A. (Ont), BCBA
Clinical Supervisor

Teaching children is more than just a job to me; it is my life's mission. Every child is precious, and I am particularly passionate about helping those who need it the most. My interest in this field began during my volunteer work at Autism BC, where I was first introduced to the importance of supporting children in their growth and development.

I am proud to hold a Master's degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Liverpool in the UK, as well as being a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. I believe it is crucial to stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field, and have received training from distinguished leaders including Dr. Greg Hanley, Dr. Mark Dixon, and the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behaviour.

My career in applied behaviour analysis began with intensive training at a non-profit, behavioural-focused school in British Columbia, where I gained hands-on experience. Since then, I have had the privilege of working at Canada's first Behavioural Health Centre of Excellence. Upon returning to Ontario, I founded Alliance Behaviour Consulting, with the goal of providing the highest quality services to children and their families. I care deeply about making a positive impact in the lives of these children and am committed to helping them reach their full potential.

I am also the creator of Social Toolbox. A free platform to learn social skills online.

My life is full of working for families with individuals with different developmental disabilities. This journey started as a behaviour interventionist in Seoul, Korea. As I learned how to work with them, I was with them every step they made in different areas, making me fall in love with this field. Wishing to understand the learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) better, I became a part of the ASD research team in the Department of Psychiatry at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. There I was formally trained in administering the ASD golden standardized diagnostic evaluations, ADOS-2 and ADI-R, and involved in developing the very first ASD screening tool (Be-Devel) for the Korean population. Now as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), I still enjoy working directly with clients of various ages to facilitate their language, cognitive, academic, self-help, and social skills development via individual sessions or group sessions. However, my primary role as a BCBA is as a supervisor who assesses the learners’ skills to identify their strengths and stretches, develops individualized behaviour support programs, trains the staff members/caregivers to work directly with the clients, collaborates with the school teachers, etc. I also love to shop for educational toys/materials for my learners for their best interests!

My approach is highly mixed with Discrete Trials Teaching (DTT) and Natural Environmental Teaching(NET). Still, I design most programs based on NET as much as possible because I understand the widespread controversy around Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). I have observed many problems that arose from it. It is in my best interests to have the learners and the trainees enjoy every learning moment by understanding each learner’s personality and learning profile.

I am like a chameleon who blends well and gets along with anyone, so I keep strong and positive relationships with people from the learners’ schools and family members. My puppy, music, and travel for delicious foods are other favourite things in my life! I am a registered autism service provider in BC. I also provide remote services beyond BC. In Ontario, I provide consultation to the Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ontario).
